Agents, names, and images
Give agent sessions distinct names and images on iPhone and Apple Watch.
Agent Approve creates a separate agent entry for each observed agent instance. A profile or workspace name sent by an integration can help distinguish concurrent sessions.
Rename an agent
- Open Agents.
- Select the agent.
- Open the more menu.
- Tap Rename Agent.
- Enter a name and tap Save.
Use names that describe the role or machine, such as builder, reviewer, or my-mac. Names can be up to 100 characters. The custom name changes how the agent appears in your account. It does not rename the underlying coding-agent profile.
Change the image
- Open the agent and its more menu.
- Tap Change Image.
- Choose Photos, From URL, or an image already in Your Images.
Photo uploads support PNG, JPEG, GIF, and WebP data up to 5 MB. A URL must be a direct HTTPS image URL in one of those formats. Use Reset Image to return to the integration's default icon.
Removing an image from Your Images resets the avatar for every agent that uses it. The confirmation shows how many agents are affected.
Reset or remove an agent
Open an agent's more menu for these actions:
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Rename Agent | Changes the display name in your account. |
| Change Image | Selects an upload, direct image URL, or saved image. |
| Reset Image | Restores the integration's default icon when a custom image is set. |
| Reset Status | Clears a status that no longer reflects the running agent. |
| Clear All Events | Permanently removes the agent's event history after confirmation. |
| Delete Agent | Permanently removes the agent entry and all of its events after confirmation. |
A running integration can appear again after deletion when it sends new activity.
Tap the information button on an agent to see its current status, integration identity, installed hook information, and capabilities. A capability shown there describes what that integration can report or control; it does not imply that every action in the coding agent is intercepted.
Do not use screenshots containing private commands, customer information, or account secrets as agent images.
