iPhone permissions
Enable notifications, camera access, and speech recognition when you need them.
Agent Approve asks for three iPhone permissions. Notifications are central to normal use. Camera and speech access are optional and are requested only for the features that need them.
Notifications
Allow notifications so approval requests and Agent Completion alerts can reach you while Agent Approve is not open. If notifications are off, requests can still appear through the live connection while the app is active, but iOS will not show an alert when the app is in the background.
To check the current permission, open the Settings tab and find Push Notifications under Notifications. If access is off, tap Open Settings, turn on Allow Notifications, and enable the alert styles you want. Sounds and badges are optional, but at least one visible alert style makes pending work easier to notice.
Also check Agent Completion if approvals arrive but completion alerts do not.
Camera
Camera access lets the pairing scanner read the QR code shown by the installer. If you previously denied access, open the scanner and tap Open Settings, then enable Camera for Agent Approve.
You do not have to grant camera access. Choose Enter code manually and type or privately paste the code shown by the installer. Pairing codes and tokens grant access to your account. Do not send them to support or put them in a screenshot.
Speech recognition and microphone
Voice transcription needs both Speech Recognition and Microphone access. iOS asks for them the first time you use the microphone in a follow-up or feedback field.
If transcription does not start, open the iPhone Settings app, select Agent Approve, and enable Microphone and Speech Recognition. You can always type the same response instead.
Agent Approve uses Apple's Speech framework and places the resulting text in the message field for you to review before sending.
