Integration guides
Find the canonical setup guide for every supported coding agent.
Each guide covers installation, required native settings, the configuration location, supported capabilities, and integration-specific limitations. Start with the guide for the agent you use, then run npx agentapprove and select it in the installer.

The installer preserves the existing agent configuration and adds Agent Approve hook entries in the format that agent expects.
Plugin integrations
The installer downloads the selected Agent Approve plugin and adds its load or enablement configuration. Keep the plugin version selected by the installer. Rerun the installer to update it instead of changing the package reference by hand.

Activate the new integration
Start a new session after installation. Some coding agents read hook or plugin configuration only when the application or session starts, so quit and reopen the native app if the first new session does not fire a hook.
Open the agent's hook or plugin settings and confirm that the Agent Approve entries are present and enabled. If the agent asks you to approve newly added hooks, approve them before testing. The Agent Approve installer enables Codex's codex_hooks feature flag automatically. Codex hooks are experimental, so native Codex permission prompts can still appear alongside Agent Approve.
If the native agent reports an invalid configuration, do not keep editing the generated structure. Rerun the current installer once. If the error remains, the agent may have changed its configuration format. Send the agent version and the redacted error to Support so Agent Approve can update the integration.
Verify one integration at a time
Start the agent, request a harmless command that needs approval, and confirm that the request reaches your iPhone. If several integrations are installed, test them separately to identify which hook is missing.
If the test does not appear, enable the hook debug log and trace the request before reinstalling everything.
