Push notification did not arrive
Separate notification permission problems from approval or integration problems.
First open Agent Approve and check whether the request or completion is already in the app.
Notifications are required for the normal background workflow. Without permission, Agent Approve can receive an item through its live connection while the app is open, but iOS will not alert you after the app moves to the background.
The item is in the app
- Open iOS Settings > Notifications > Agent Approve.
- Turn on Allow Notifications and choose the alert styles you want.
- Check Focus modes and Scheduled Summary for delayed alerts.
- Open Agent Approve once after reinstalling the app or changing notification permission.
- Send another harmless test request.
If an Apple Watch is paired, iOS may deliver the alert to the watch instead of showing it on the iPhone you are using.
The item is not in the app
This is not only a push problem. Run npx agentapprove status, confirm the integration is installed, and follow No approval appears on the phone.
For completion alerts, confirm Settings > Notifications > Agent Completion is on. For follow-up prompts, confirm Voice Follow-up is on and the integration supports follow-up input.
