Approve away from your desk
Prepare your iPhone and Apple Watch to review requests when you are not at the computer.
Approval Mode can send a request to your iPhone and connected Apple Watch so you can respond without returning to the agent's computer.
Prepare your devices
- Install and sign in to Agent Approve on your iPhone.
- Allow notifications in iOS Settings.
- Open Agent Approve once after changing notification permission.
- If you use Apple Watch, install the watch app and open it once to finish syncing.
- Keep the computer and mobile device connected to the internet.
Follow Apple Watch setup if requests or agent status do not appear on the watch.
Test before leaving
- Start a normal interactive session in a connected agent.
- Ask it to perform a harmless action that is not already covered by a remembered rule.
- Lock the iPhone or move away from the computer.
- Confirm that the notification arrives.
- Open the request, review the full action, and choose Approve or Deny.
- Confirm that the coding agent receives the same result.
Do not decide from a shortened notification preview when the full command or tool input is available. Open the detail view first.
If you cannot respond
A request that reaches the manual approval timeout is denied. Agent Approve does not automatically approve a request because you missed the notification.
Offline fallback handles a different case: the computer could not reach Agent Approve at all. Review Timeouts and offline fallback before relying on unattended agents.
If a notification is missing, the request can still be waiting inside the app. Open Agent Approve and check Approvals, then follow Push notification did not arrive.
